IAM Aphasia Meetings December 12, 2015 to February 6, 2016

IAMInternational Aphasia Movement
Co-Founded by Harvey N. Alter and Michael A. Young, Esq. 2001

Assisting people with speech and learning problems due to the disability of aphasia caused by a stroke or a traumatic brain injury.

IAM holds groups in several locations. Our sessions at Mount Sinai Beth Israel and The Church of St. Luke in the Fields are conducted by highly skilled professional and licensed Speech-Language Pathologists who volunteer their services. Our groups at Hunter College and Teacher’s College, Columbia University are conducted by Graduate Student Clinicians under the supervision of licensed Senior Supervisors.

All of our programs are free of charge. Everyone is welcome!

The Church is on the west side of Hudson Street in between Christopher Street and Barrow Street. The entrance to Laughlin, the hall where our program is held, is through the gate on Hudson Street just north of the main entrance to the Church.  A sign will be posted on the gate saying “Aphasia Group.”
