The International Aphasia Movement has been offering aphasia groups provide support and speech therapy since 2005.
To empower people who are affected by aphasia to access and negotiate the services and opportunities they need for a better life.
Is difficulty talking from: a stroke, aneurysm, head injury, brain tumor or etc.
Is to provide free aphasia therapy, aphasia support groups, and up-to-date information about resources for people with aphasia within the five boroughs of New York City. If you know of any aphasia resources in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, or Staten Island.
All speech therapy at IAM affiliated groups is at no cost to the participants. Services are provided by volunteer licensed speech-language pathologists, or by graduate speech-language pathology students under the direct supervision of licensed speech-language pathologists.
